**JOB SUMMARY

Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Responsible for repairing, upgrading, reconditioning, and re-manufacturing electrical equipment from a single circuit breaker to a complete substation with a focus on motor control buckets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read schematic, point to point and one line wiring diagram.
- Test and troubleshoot electrical wiring.
- Electrically operate a circuit breaker/bucket from a wiring schematic.
- Operate a Megger and contact resistance machine to test breaker/bucket before sending to test department for final quality check.
- Take electrical parts off a breaker/bucket and recondition them. (aux switch, motor, relay, coils)
- Make sure electric parts work properly before installing on a breaker/bucket.
- Support other departments with rush or emergency jobs when needed.
- Clean electrical parts.
- Remove and reinstall electrical components on circuit breakers/buckets with documentation.
- Read the breaker/bucket evaluation and work order and perform the service the customer is requesting.
- Disassembly/Reassembly of MCC buckets.
- Mechanical ability to troubleshoot and repair circuit breakers/buckets.
- Read manuals and follow detailed instructions on adjusting equipment.
May be modified from time to time. Other duties, tasks and work may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to troubleshot electrical and mechanical problems and repair.
- Ability to maintain good housekeeping of designated work area.
- Ability to use measuring tools (vernier caliper, micrometer, tape measure, etc.)
- Ability to trouble shoot electrical circuits safely and make repairs.
- Ability to travel to some job sites if needed after being trained.
- Capable of lifting 50-pounts.
- Ability and willingness to read and study OEM manuals and technical literature.
- Mechanically inclined.

- Detail oriented, great attitude, team player, well organized.

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE **
- High school or equivalent GED certification.
**PHYSICAL DEMANDS **
- Occasional reaching/working overhead, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling

- Continuous standing and repetitive hand motion
- Lifting requirements include occasional lifting up to 75 pounds, frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and continuous lifting of up to 25 pounds
