NBCUniversal’s Owned Television station in the Denver, Colorado KDEN TV, is looking for a skilled Multi-platform Content Producer to help take our streaming content and newscasts to a new level. This position reports to the Executive Producer.

We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about news, loves breaking news and has a creative vision for crafting live programs. You’ll work closely with producers, creative services, to create innovative, up-to-the-minute content that resonates with our viewers.

The ideal candidate loves to collaborate, wants to help lead a team, and is ready to take on new challenges to help us continue to grow. You’ll work closely with our streaming products and help us continue to find new ways to reach our audience no matter what platform they are on.

** Responsibilities:**

• Produce newscasts, live special coverage and other programs for streaming platforms and newscast.
• Responsible for overall production, content, and every element of each newscast.
• Select, assign, write, and organize news stories. Write headlines, teases.
• Leadership: take responsibility for own actions and take risks for the team and be a team player.
• Contribute story ideas, participate in daily coverage decisions and editorial meetings.
• Complete discrepancy reports with detail and accuracy to help prevent future problems.
• Produce a variety of multimedia content, including videos, articles, infographics, and podcasts, for the organization's website and digital platforms.
• Clearly communicate your vision to producers, executive producer, and creative services team.
• Have knowledge of digital video production, including scripting, shooting, and editing digital video pieces, understand social media, and video distribution platforms VOD and AVOD (FAST)
• Basic knowledge of camera operation/editing skills
• Create, curate, and optimize content specifically tailored for FAST Channels, OTT, and digital considering audience preferences and platform-specific requirements.
• Develop an understanding of our streaming and nonlinear products and consistently contribute to them.
• Quickly adjust to late changes and be aggressive in breaking news coverage.
• Backup producer as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• The Multi-Platform Content Producer surfaces the best content for broadcast and digital by maintaining regular communication with newsgathering and management team.
• Reports directly to the Executive Producer.

Qualifications

** Eligibility Requirements:**

• Fluency in Spanish and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages.

• Must have the ability to work any shift
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

** Desired:**

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience segment producing and/or generating content across multiple platforms is a plus.
• Knowledge of libel law and applicable FCC rules and regulations.
• Personal initiative and ability to work with managers.
• Displays a positive work ethic and a high degree of integrity and professionalism.
• Ability to create urgent, engaging, and conversational news copy and visuals under tight deadlines.
• Team player who is flexible and works well under pressure.
• Strong organizational and time management skills

_ Additional Requirements:_

Required On-Site : This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000 (based on experience)
