    Job Description

    This position resides on our Programs team and reports to the Senior Director, Workforce Development. The Multi-State Workforce Programs Coordinator supports the Chef Ann Foundation’s (CAF) national workforce development programs. This includes the Healthy School Food Pathway (HSFP) Fellowship and the pilot of the HSFP Pre-Apprenticeship and Apprenticeship programs in states that have completed the HSFP program design phase.

    HSFP is a work-based learning experience that prepares individuals for job opportunities in healthy, scratch-cook school food programs. The pipeline from entry-level positions (Pre-Apprenticeship and Apprenticeship) through management and school food leadership (Fellowship) offers professionals the resources, hands-on training, and network to become confident leaders with in-depth knowledge and experience in creating and running successful scratch-cook meal programs.

    This role will focus on supporting the implementation of the Fellowship program and supporting the pilot of the Pre-Apprenticeship and Apprenticeship programs in new states. The Pre-Apprenticeship and Apprenticeship programs are in the pilot phase in Colorado, following a successful pilot in California that has now moved into the implementation phase.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Serves as the primary point of contact for individuals during the application, participant selection, and onboarding process of the Pre-Apprenticeship/Apprenticeship/Fellowship to ensure they have the information needed to participate in the program and all necessary documentation is submitted;
    • Supports program participants during the program to ensure they stay on track to complete all program requirements and master all required learning competencies;
    • Supports with the scheduling and planning of virtual learning sessions, including coordinating with Pre-Apprenticeship/Apprenticeship/Fellowship content leads (including members of CAF’s School Food Operations team and external subject matter experts) and guest speakers to ensure that they have what they need for their sessions;
    • Supports the facilitation of virtual learning sessions as needed;
    • Schedules program travel and supports in-person training and event planning as directed by supervisor to ensure efficient use of time and travel funds; processes participant reimbursement requests after program travel;
    • Maintains program registration and supports ongoing reporting and document organization as required by state, federal, and philanthropic partners;
    • Maintains, updates, and improves program learning platform (i.e., Moodle Workplace) for each cohort of Pre-Apprentices/Apprentices/Fellows;
    • Updates and creates key program documents, instructions, slide decks, timelines, etc., as needed for each Pre-Apprentices/Apprentices/Fellowship cohort;
    • Supports launch and implementation of new Pre-Apprentices/Apprentices/Fellowship cohort applications, including updating of application questions, application tracking, and applicant assistance;
    • Maintains files and necessary documentation for program participants;
    • Condenses large amounts of information into easy-to-read reports, including data collection, cleaning, and chart creation;
    • Suggests program efficiencies and follow through as appropriate;
    • Supports technology integration as directed, significantly enhancing the education experience of program participants;
    • Supports identification and partnership development with key stakeholders across diverse industries that will support the education and experience of program participants;
    • Maintains awareness/knowledge of child nutrition legislative advocacy efforts, with an emphasis on California and HSFP expansion states;
    • Maintains understanding and awareness of federal and state policies as they relate to program operations;
    • Other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.

    Position Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent;
    • Ability to travel for work (approximately 2-4 times per year);
    • Ability to work and participate in meetings virtually, including approximately one evening monthly.

    Preferred Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree;
    • Experience in school food and/or workforce development;
    • Experience in program planning and management;
    • Experience in Salesforce, Moodle, and/or Qualtrics;
    • Strong proficiency in GSuite and Microsoft Office platforms.

    Compensation

    Compensation ranges between $48,825 - $62,640 per year and will be commensurate with the candidate’s previous experience and credentials. T The Chef Ann Foundation is a great place to work.
