Job Description:
The Multi-Unit General Manager position oversees the overall operation of the assigned restaurants in Southern California on a daily basis including, training of all employees, enhancing their capabilities and fostering growth, as well as cost control, budget and profit responsibility, service standards, operational procedures and policies, customer satisfaction, sanitation, environment control, cash handling, staff motivation, safety and security by performing the essential job duties personally or through subordinates.
Responsibility
Travel on a regular basis to all sites to monitor and support region.
Span of control will include oversight of all operations, training, maintenance, and operations services.
Develop, train, coach and lead the operations team to achieve best-in-class results and elevate their performance. Proactively develop regional and management level talent within the organization to minimize turnover and to promote within to enable successful restaurant growth.
Proven ability to create short and long-term strategic plans and execute annual operating, marketing and financial plans and forecasts while continually monitoring and delivering strong performance against the plans.
Collaborate with direct reports and the executive team to develop a comprehensive strategy and provide the effective and inspiring operating leadership necessary to grow the organization.
Attain the financial objectives of the business through effective management of people, product, service and facility processes, including a focus on the revenue and profit components.
Improve sustainable operational and service systems and infrastructure designed to meet the high standards of excellence and continued growth of the organization.
Acts as a liaison between the field (Team Members/Guests), and any other appropriate support departments.
Perform special projects as assigned
Qualifications
Experience working in a full dining service, multi-unit environment and success managing multiple units
Must be willing to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays.
A minimum of 3 years of multi-unit restaurant leadership experience.
Ability to drive initiatives that measure and build sales, traffic and profitability
Strong understanding of managing inventory, cost of goods and overall control of financials
Highly knowledgeable in the SOPs of major restaurant organizations and has played a key role in optimizing company operations as well has successfully built, mentored and coached successful teams.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to resolve conflict and provide direction
Experience and proven track record in managing a budget, cost controls to increased revenue and profitability
Computer literate with Internet and software programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
Detail-oriented and have the ability to delegate responsibility as needed.
Understand and follow state and federal labor laws.
