Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working as either a Journeyperson Mechanic or Electrician in a manufacturing environment.
- If Journeyperson Mechanic: Pass an electrical and instrumentation evaluation as prescribed by PQ Joliet Maintenance Department.
- If Journeyperson Electrician: Pass a mechanical evaluation as prescribed by PQ Joliet Maintenance Department.
- Attend any designated training course(s) as required by the Company to maintain or improve his or her skills for required mechanical or E&I maintenance. This will be dependent upon evaluation results.
- Must Demonstrate a Strong Work Ethic (Attendance, Attitude, Etc.)
- Good Decision-making Skills (makes decisions, acts upon them, willing to defend decisions over peer pressure)
- Firm understanding of life critical safety procedures such as LOTO, Hot Work, Line Break, Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry, Excavations, etc.

Special Factors
- This is a unionized position with an estimated pay rate of $40.38 per hour
- Some Scheduled, Unscheduled, and Holiday Overtime Required
- Must be Available for Call-ins and Weekend Work
- Industrial Plant Setting
- Must be able to climb 150’ ladder at least once a month

- Participation in risk assessment audits as applicable
- Understand PQ Principles (PQP) and how they are implemented in the site organization, rules and procedures
