Hero is recruiting for a local hospitality company in South Louisiana,A local and growing hospitality company is looking for an experienced in-house HVAC/ Refrigeration Service Technician. This is a salary position with benefits, including health insurance, paid vacation, and a company vehicle. HVAC refrigeration technicians with a background in commercial walk-in cooler and freezer and ice machine maintenance. Proficiency in daiquiri machines is a plus but can also be trained. This position will be responsible for 20 locations mainly in Baton Rouge, and a few in both Lafayette and New Orleans. You must be willing and able to travel between local cities in South Louisiana daily. This will be a long-term position with growth opportunities. Flexible work schedule. Additional responsibilities of the HVAC Refrigeration Technician include:

Must be a self-starter

Develop and maintain relationships with management at each location

Securing parts and tools needed throughout the day for various jobs as required

reporting any issues as they arise

JOB REQUIREMENTSAs our HVAC Refrigeration Service Technician with a background in Commercial Maintenance, and ice machine repair you must have the knowledge and experience necessary for this position. Also, a willingness to learn new skills. Additional requirements of the HVAC Refrigeration Service Technician include:

Minimum 1 year of commercial experience

Must be able to drive to regional job sites on a daily basis

Must be On-call and work overtime hours as needed

Technical Skills required:

Must be able to install, repair, adjust, maintain and troubleshoot the following equipment:

Refrigerant controls (metering devices); Hermetic compressors; Split systems from 2 to 4 tons

Packaged units from 2.5 to 30 tons; Ductless splits; Electric Motors (3-phase and 1-phase)

Electric motor controls (contractors, starters, relays, disconnect, thermostats, etc.)

Light commercial furnaces; Economizers; Humidifiers

Must be able to perform the following tasks: Soldering, Brazing, and Recovery

Ice machines

Pay rate based on experience
