MY VIRTUAL ACADEMY is excited to offer a remote teaching position to qualified candidates for qualified K - 12 teachers!

MVA is hiring certified teachers to join our team to work with under resourced students. Teachers need to be certified in Michigan (or be willing to get certified in Michigan) and have a passion to work with under resourced students.

My Virtual Academy is a Michigan-based online education provider that partners with school districts across the country to offer a comprehensive and accredited learning program. Through partnership agreements with local school districts, My Virtual Academy works with students in grades K-12. Our engaging curriculum meets both State and National Standards by utilizing Edmentum ®, and additional supplemental materials to promote critical thinking and develop lifelong learners. A team of experienced educators works with each student to develop a personalized learning plan designed to meet individual pace and needs.

Each grade level online teaching experience is unique at MVA.

MIDDLE SCHOOL TEACHERS at My Virtual Academy have created a Homeroom Learning Lab environment in Zoom for the middle school students to work in which allows the teachers to offer constant assistance. Teachers teach a grade level specific subject area in the learning lab as part of a team-teaching effort. Teachers have time to plan and prep for their learning lab teaching time. Teachers contact their students twice a week and keep the parents up to date once per week. Middle School teachers must be available to work 9-3EST Monday – Friday. HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS at My Virtual Academy serve as the mentor teacher. The role of a teacher at MVA is to promote student success in an online learning environment. The teacher is the official contact with the student weekly. Teachers monitor progress and ensure the student is working in their courses in Edmentum, the primary coursework used by students in the MVA program. High School Teachers document and retain an online activity log detailing two-way interactions for each of their students. High School teachers enjoy a flexible schedule. REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Michigan teaching certificate required. If hired, you will need to obtain your Michigan teaching certificate.
• Successful passing of background check, drug screen, and physical.

My Virtual Academy has an hourly pay rate based on education level and certification level. The hourly rate for a bachelor’s degree and Standard Michigan Certificate hourly rate is $19.95per hour.
