    Stamford:

    At NBC Sports Headquarters in Stamford, CT, you’ll have access to great perks and amenities including free shuttle service to/from the Metro North Stamford train station and the office, as well as discounted admission to Chelsea Piers Athletic Club.

    Academic Year Recruitment Timeline:

    April 21 – May 9: Applications Open (may close early due to applicant volume)

    Early May – Mid June: First round video interviews

    Mid June – Mid July: Second round interviews

    Throughout July: Selected candidates receive offers

    Academic Year Internship Program:

    Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to:

    Production:

    • Olympic Profile Production – this intern will work to produce video content for Olympic sports, both during the Games and between them, and publish that content to NBC’s digital platforms.

    • Digital Video Production – NBC Sports Group is seeking a student intern to join its team in the Digital Video Production department located in Stamford, Connecticut. As a team player, you will join an immensely collaborative environment with the opportunity to work on high quality sports television projects. The ideal candidate thrives on developing new skills and has an interest or experience in working in sports television production.

    • NBC Sports Programming – the Programming Intern provides support to all divisions within the programming department. Responsibilities range from information gathering and organization to data entry to show screening. The GOLF Programming Intern assists in the following areas: program information, program scheduling, program operations and international relations.

    Operations:

    • Technical Logistics – this intern will interact with internal customers at our facilities support window facilitating their support needs with a high level of service and support. This includes production support requests, shipping, shipment tracking, supply distribution, asset management support and other facility support needs.

    • **Studio & Remote Operations **– under the direction of the EVP, Studio/ Remote Operations and Production Planning, the Production Management team is comprised of subgroups of Remote Production Management, Studio Production Management, Remote and Studio Crewing/ Scheduling as well as technical teams that oversee both the Studio and Remote spaces in our division.

    • Olympic Operations – Olympic Operations team is comprised of subgroups of Features Production Management, Games Event Management, and Production Operations. Collaborating with Olympics partners in Engineering and Production, this group is exposed to all facets of organizing and executing NBC’s broadcast of the Olympic Games.

    Qualifications

    Basic Requirements:

    • Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program (September 2025 through April 2026). December 2025 graduates are not eligible for our 2025-2026 Academic Year Internship Program.

    • Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).

    • Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States.

    • Must be available to work 16-24 hours per week from September 15, 2025 – April 17, 2026.

    • Must be willing to work in Stamford, CT.

    For further clarification, candidates currently on any student or exchange visa (e.g. F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1) are not eligible to apply unless they will be able to change or adjust to another status that grants work authorization without NBCUniversal sponsorship.

    NBCUniversal is an E-Verify company, requiring all employees to have an active Social Security number. Any candidate receiving an internship offer must complete I-9 form with Social Security number within 3 days of hire.

    Desired Characteristics:

    • Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.

    • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.

    • Experience editing with AVID or Adobe Premier video editing systems

    • Knowledge of and passion for Olympic sports

    • Database knowledge/understanding

    • Office 365 proficiency, including Excel, SharePoint, and Teams

    • Basic knowledge of digital video production and web publishing workflows

    • Detail-oriented who prioritizes accuracy and staying organized

    • Ability to work within a team as a self-starting individual with a strong work ethic

    The hourly rate for undergraduate student interns is $17.50
