CNBC Digital Development
Digital Development interns will develop and create compelling video content that works effectively across various platforms and resonates with different audiences, work closely with video producers to help keep our audience up to date on the latest business news, grow CNBC’s audience, and craft mini documentaries that explain how the business world works. Your primary assignments will be to use photoshop to develop engaging thumbnails and work on transcription.
CNBC Direct to Consumer Marketing
DTC Marketing interns will assist with the design and execution of subscription marketing campaigns, help support email marketing campaigns, develop marketing copy for marketing campaigns, and manage projects for marketing campaigns and special offers. Interns will also track marketing results with data analytics to develop solutions for the marketing group and support the marketing team with testing and QA support.
CNBC Social Media
The social media intern will work with the U.S. editorial social media team to help manage CNBC’s social presence on our flagship accounts. You’ll work closely with social media editors to help keep our readers up to date on the latest business news, grow CNBC’s audience, and craft our social voice. You’ll get hands-on experience writing and producing content for platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and more.
CNBC Marketing & Promotion
Interns will be instructed and become fully immersed in the CNBC Marketing & Creative Services Department. Responsibilities will vary from day to day and could include assisting producers with the production of on-air & marketing materials specifically: screening & logging tapes, music selection, obtaining b-roll footage. Duties may also include possible script writing assignments and working with producers & crew on location during promo shoots: keeping take sheets, scene continuity, and other responsibilities as needed.
CNBC Events
CNBC Events hosts 60+ virtual and in-person experiences throughout the year creating compelling content delivered by our premiere on-air talent that empowers key audiences to make informed decisions which ultimately translates into a very engaging marketing environment for brands. The team is structured across the editorial, audience development, production and sales & marketing groups. This intern will have a rotational experience focusing on key projects.
CNBC Councils
This intern will support members of the CNBC Councils Business Operations team, and assist in organizing the member database, tracking data on engagement efforts, and collecting data on prospective members, including competitive analysis. They will also create content summarizing and promoting stories/events for members on social media, website, and private member channels. The intern may also work on projects with the CNBC Events Audience Development team, supporting marketing and audience-building initiatives in the leadup to and following CNBC’s series of franchise events.
CNBC Talent Development
Interns will have the opportunity for a hands-on learning experience in several aspects of production, strategic planning, and project management. Interns will collaborate across departments on special projects ranging from conducting research on potential voices and organizations to creating and producing clip reels. Students will also observe and shadow producers in the control room and studio and interact with talent.
CNBC Strategic Content
The intern will write for cnbc.com, support content production for TV, and learn about the podcasting space. Our team mentors include digital editors, TV and podcast producers and those focused on business development.

Desired Characteristics:
The hourly rate for student interns is $17.50.
