    Job Description

    The Ingest Operator will be a key contributor to the success of all LIVE records for NBC Sports. In this role, you will help execute and oversee the reliability of content ingest across various systems and devices, including Olympics, NFL Football, Golf, Premiere League Soccer, MLB, Nascar, College Sports, and much more. This position requires proficiency with highly interoperable scheduling and device control software for recording a variety of broadcast signals. In this role, you will become a member of an innovative broadcast technology team, which requires effective communication, building key relationships, and a service-oriented approach.

    _ Responsibilities:_

    • Interfaces with the Operations and Production departments to ensure all their recording needs are being met
    • Executes Automated simultaneous recordings of production and off-air assets on over 200 + baseband ingest devices
    • Controls Manual Stops for Automated recordings
    • Executes ad hoc instant recordings on inbound program streams
    • Verifies integrity of video/audio recordings on multiple formats, including 1080i,1080p (SDR &HDR) in 50 and 60Hz
    • Confirms and validates ScheduAll metadata on each record
    • Coordinates record streams in the Media Asset Management and Avid/EVS environment
  • Qualifications

    ** Basic Requirements:**

    • 1+ year experience in the Broadcast Operations or Production related field
    • Knowledge of Baseband ingest devices
    • Experience with Broadcast Operations
    • Knowledge of ScheduAll, Ingest Control, and Record Control a plus
    • Must be willing to work overnights, weekends and holidays as needed

    _ Desired Characteristics:_

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • Knowledge of Broadcast workflow preferred
    • A good listener with good interpersonal skills across teams and in service to the client
    • Maintains cool under pressure and thrive in an environment where change is expected and embraced
    • Extremely detail oriented and organized
