    Job Description

    Overview

    Assist VP and Associate Manager of Affiliate Marketing department in all aspects of local station promotion for NBC programs with emphasis on New York-based properties. Candidate will be involved in project development, planning, execution and station communication with a focus on organization and administration. Point of communication for NBC News, Sports, and Late Night for planning and assets.

    Responsibilities

    • Answer NBC station inquiries regarding on-air promos, graphics, news packages, digital assets primarily for East Coast shows
    • Share responsibility for inputting promo metadata
    • Interface with NBC News and NBC Sports On-Air promo Priorities and Digital asset delivery
    • Maintain NBCAffiliateMarketing.com for News, Sports, Olympics and Late Night
    • Assist compilation and analysis of performance data for East Coast marketing projects
    • Schedule taping & execute delivery of custom promo copy from NBC talent
    • Support every aspect of all NBCU Diversity projects
    • Coordinate various aspects of participation in events, meetings, conventions
    • Compile PowerPoint and Excel spreadsheet presentations as required
    • Participate in brainstorming and developing social strategies and initiatives
    • Post, engage and monitor B2B social media assets and strategic tie-ins with stations for Entertainment, News, Sports, Olympics and Late Night
    • Responsible for daily distribution of social media assets via B2B channels
    • Assist in drafting promotional e-blasts to stations
    • Assist in training new Pages and interns each quarter or semester
    • Assist in watermarking graphic and video assets when needed
    • Support the larger team with general administrative duties, including temporary desk and calendar coverage, scheduling meetings, ordering supplies and planning travel as needed

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related experience
    • Experience working at a broadcast or cable network, a streamer or local television station, or related experience
    • Proven knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel
    • Basic Photoshop and/or Illustrator
    • Conversant with Social Media platforms
    • Must be willing to work in New York, NY
    • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States

    • Experience as effective liaison with all levels of internal and external management
    • Positive attitude with a customer-service oriented mindset, anticipating and recognizing partner needs
    • Organized, detailed, resourceful and a proactive approach to projects
    • Have a desire for knowledge about television marketing and the broadcast and streaming businesses
    • Ability/potential to write clear and concise marketing messages
    • Ability/potential to organize and display data in Excel, interest in developing that skill
    • Ability/potential to make sound decisions in handling sensitive and critical-to-air information
    • Ability to multi-task and perform well in high pressure situations
    • Knowledge of digital video editing a plus

    • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
