Job Description
Job purpose
The Staff Accountant position will handle all aspects of accounting: Payroll, accounts payable, fixed assets, assist with cash management, audits, and financial reporting. This position must possess a solid knowledge of accounting and posting to general ledger, pays close attention to detail, and can ensure first-class financial management and accounting across company entities. The candidate must display integrity.
Duties and responsibilities
· Prepare and research Bank Reconciliation: Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, entering unrecorded transactions into the general ledger as needed and researching unidentified bank activity
· Prepare Daily Cash flow reports
· Review payroll intercompany billing entries and assist with intercompany reconciliations
· Assist with preparation of various schedules and supporting documentation for the external audit
Qualifications
· Advanced knowledge of Excel, including experience in v-lookup, Index Match, and pivot tables
· High attention to detail and accuracy, along with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
· Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to listen actively and respond to others
· Knowledge of NetSuite is a plus
· Ability to work in the NYC office Full time
Working conditions
The main office is centrally located at 1501 Broadway 14th floor.
This position is a Full-time- exempt, in person. Monday through Friday
This position would be in a professional high paced office environment.
Physical requirements
While performing the duties related to this job, the employee is regularly required to have visual acuity, talk, and hear while communicating with executives and other staff members. This position requires sitting, standing, bending, and walking. The employee may occasionally be asked to lift and/or move items up to 10 pounds.
