    Job Overview

    We are seeking a highly motivated tenacious Cost-Out Leader to join our team. The Cost-Out Leader reports to the Head of Product Development. This role will lead the development and then subsequent implementation of the company’s cost reduction strategy for the entirety of our power plant solution (i.e. our product). Our utility-scale power plant is in its development phase which makes this the perfect time to join our team to lead this strategy at its inception. This role is critical to achieving our business goals in the medium and long term.

    The Cost-Out Leader will be responsible for leading strategic initiatives to reduce cost (including product cost, reduction of lead-time, reduction of installation and commissioning timeframe) and enhance the value of our product. This role requires an understanding and experience with introducing new products, modularization and packaging or skidding strategies used in the power-generation & process industry, and long-term supply chain optimization to drive cost reduction while maintaining product quality and performance. The successful candidate will have the ability to lead, influence, and work autonomously when required.

    This role will be based in Houston, TX or Durham, NC.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Primary Focus is to setup/ implement a plan to achieve our corporate cost-out targets.
    • Lead cross-functional teams in the development and execution of cost reduction strategies to exceed company’s cost objectives (reduce cost, reduce lead-time, and/or reduction of installation and commissioning activities).
    • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to identify cost-saving opportunities through design optimization (modularization and/or packaging strategies), optimizing skidding, and other strategies reducing the overall installed cost of the product.
    • Develop, generate, and execute individual cost-out strategies and program with each of our critical partners, vendors, critical drivers.
    • Ability to analyze market data to understand industry trends and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
    • Drive modularization strategy to streamline production and assembly processes, reducing time-to-market and operational costs.
    • Working with our supply chain team to optimize supply chain strategies to ensure efficient and resilient operations, balancing cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
    • Utilize data analytics to forecast cost trends and assess the impact of cost-saving initiatives.
    • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, demonstrating the financial impact of cost-out and cost-down activities.

    Education and Required Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Package Engineering, or, Engineering related field; MBA preferred.
    • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in cost reduction program management/ execution in the power generation, process industry, or similar industries.
    • Proven track record of implementing successful cost reduction strategies and/or modularization strategies.
    • Strong knowledge of modularization and supply chain management principles.
    • Experience with new product introduction and lifecycle management.
    • Prior experience with “Should cost” modeling approach required.
    • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and project management skills.
    • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
