    Otolaryngology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant opportunity in Nashville, TN

    Wonderful opportunity to join a Community hospital setting, level 3 trauma, with 560 full-time employees. Medical services include OBGYN, General Surgery, Heart & Vascular, Primary Care, Urology, Endocrinology, Pulmonology, Nephrology, Gastroenterology, Behavioral Health, Hematology, Oncology, Cancer Center, Rheumatology, Foot and Ankle, Orthopedics, Neurology, Interventional Radiology, Otolaryngology and Outpatient Imaging.

    About the Position:

    • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history review and physical exams, focusing on ENT-related concerns.
    • Diagnose and manage a variety of conditions related to the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck, such as infections, allergies, hearing loss, tinnitus, voice disorders, sinus problems, and more.
    • Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests, including audiometry, CT scans, MRIs, and lab work, as needed for ENT conditions.
    • Assist in the management and treatment of patients undergoing ENT procedures, including pre- and post-operative care.
    • Prescribe medications and recommend non-pharmacological therapies, such as lifestyle modifications or referrals to specialists (e.g., audiologists, speech therapists).
    • Perform minor ENT procedures, such as ear wax removal, nasal endoscopies, and management of epistaxis (nosebleeds).
    • Educate patients and families on disease management, prevention strategies, and treatment options. 
    • Collaborate closely with ENT surgeons and other healthcare providers to create and implement comprehensive care plans.
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR), ensuring adherence to best practices and regulations.
    • Participate in professional development and continuing education activities to stay current with advancements in ENT care.

    Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant (PA) program.
    • Certification or Board Eligibility as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology NP/ Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA)
    • Experience in Otolaryngology (ENT) is preferred, but candidates with relevant experience in primary care or internal medicine are encouraged to apply.
    • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills, with a focus on ENT-related conditions.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to patient-centered care.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
    • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
