    JOB SUMMARY
    Demonstrates the Resilience Healthcare Customer Service Values, which are key in providing quality service to patients and customers.
    JOB DUTIES
    • Assess treatment and care for specific patient populations and plans age-appropriate care. Utilizes hands on physical assessment skills and interview techniques to formulate a clinical database; analyzes collected information derived from patient and other sources to identify age-appropriate patient problems and needs. Re-assesses on an ongoing basis and documents findings or changes in condition in the progress notes. Assess severity of findings and obtain physician intervention as warranted.
    • Uses data gained through assessment and collaboration with the health care team to develop a plan of care for each identified patient problem.
    • Independently implements plan of care utilizing professional nursing skills and collaborates with and instructs patients, members of family/significant other and heath care team. Demonstrates ability to function in emergency situations.
    • Uses the nursing process to formulate appropriate questions for measuring outcomes. Evaluates patient responses to therapeutic intervention. Uses multiple sources of information to validate findings. Makes judgments based on the data collected.
    • Utilizes knowledge of medications, procedures, infection control, and safety precaution, and initiates age-appropriate intervention in crisis situations.
    • Assigns/delegates care to other qualified members of the health care team. Coordinates care between other professional disciplines as needed.
    • Documents select data on appropriate forms and enter designated information into the computer. Actively participates in the Quality Assurance and Improvement Process.
    • Carries code blue pager and acts as a member of code tram when assigned.
    • Supports department of nursing and hospital policy and procedures.
    • Complies with department policy and procedures. Complies with staffing rotations. • Demonstrates responsibility for own professional practice and growth by ensuring clinical knowledge base and skills are maintained and enhanced.
    • Organizes on a continuum due to the changing status of the patients and environment.
    • Maintains environment and equipment in an appropriate manner. Supports unit teams. Resolves problems. Supports customer service.
    • Precepts new nurses.

    Job Requirements
    • Registered Nurse with current Illinois license, BSN preferred
    • Demonstrated organization and time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, customer service delivery skills
    • Excellent experience leading and facilitating a wide variety of diverse patient groups required
    • Ability to assess needs, identify problems, explore alternatives and implement solutions.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and make decisions in accordance with hospital policy and governmental regulations.
    • Knowledge of basic computer operations and use of word processing software• Ability to use audio/visual equipment, telephone and other clinical equipment for patient teaching.
    • Completed preceptor training.
