    Senior Project Engineer- Commercial RE Developer

    Seattle, WA(Hybrid)

    Work for a well-established local commercial real estate developer with projects throughout the US including Seattle and Hawaii.

    They are seeking a highly driven Senior Project Engineer/Associate to join their team on a large hospitality project in Hawaii. This role will be based in their local office, with some travel to the project once construction starts in 2025.

    This person will play a crucial part in advancing projects through each stage of the development lifecycle and ensure that financial objectives and project milestones are met. Additionally, the job will assist the Development Manager and Senior Construction Manager. 

    The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience working in commercial real estate development, engineering, construction, or architecture.

    Senior Project Engineer Responsibilities:

    • Assist the Development Manager with projects during the design, permitting, and entitlement phases.
    • Create and maintain project documentation, including agendas, timelines, budgets, and progress reports.
    • Handle electronic documents like RFIs and correspondence.
    • Interpret construction plans, applicable codes, and specifications
    • Coordinate project planning, including scope, objectives, milestones, and resource allocation
    • Update and maintain the cash flow projection, risk register, and financial reporting in conjunction with the Development Manager and Senior Construction Manager.
    • Manage project-related documentation by ensuring all necessary materials are current and properly filed.

    Senior Project Engineer Qualifications:

    • At least three years of experience in real estate development or construction.
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred - Real Estate, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management is a plus.
    • Knowledge in construction document organization including drawings, ASI’s, submittals, and RFIs.
    • Experience in the design, entitlement, and permitting of commercial projects is preferred.
    • Prepare and coordinate project reports and subcontractor bids
    • Incorporate processes and procedures that support the project closeout phase
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
    • Familiarity with design software (e.g., Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit).
    • Strong interpersonal skills, strong organizational and communication skills.
