What Do Our Caregivers Do?

PCAs, CNAs, and HHAs -- you know what you do! But here's a bit of detail. Neighbors NY is a private duty home care company. Private duty simply means that you will be working with a senior or a senior and spouse in a private home to help with tasks that have become difficult for them. These tasks may include shopping, light housekeeping, changing beds, laundry, transportation to medical appointments, meal preparation, and hands on care such as assisting with bathing and dressing. Our mission is to provide the highest quality of personal service to help our clients to remain in their own homes - and that means hiring the very best caregivers who love their work.

Where Would I Be Working?

Neighbors NY has clients in Queensbury and surrounding areas including Warrensburg, Chestertown, Bolton Landing, Lake George, Queensbury, Glens Falls, Hudson Falls, Fort Edward, Fort Ann, and more. We will schedule you close to home for short jobs, but we may ask you to travel a bit farther for longer shifts.

What Hours Would I Be Working?

We work with our caregivers to give them the hours that best suit their schedules. For example, if you have young children in school, we will schedule you with clients who prefer assistance in the mornings and early afternoons. Our minimum shifts are three hours, and some of our clients have assistance around the clock.

Requirements to be a Successful Candidate . . .

Valid certification as a PCA, HHA, or CNA

Must be compassionate, reliable, friendly and patient

Must have reliable transportation including a Valid Driver's License, Vehicle Insurance and Registration

Current TB Test and basic Covid vaccinations

Must be authorized to work in the United States
