Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Faculty Group Practice Senior Data Analyst.
The FGP Senior Data Analyst will provide data management, reporting, and analytical support to the NYU Langone Health Faculty Group Practice (FGP) to assist in achieving the organization’s financial and operational goals. As part of the fast-paced FGP Analytics team, the Senior Data Analyst will identify, query, and analyze data from a variety of sources to measure FGP performance, identify opportunities, and provide actionable insights to help drive FGP business decisions. The Senior Data Analyst will have the creative vision to translate data into dynamic Tableau dashboards that will both provide compelling analysis of operational issues and provide self-service platforms to end-users. The position will act as liaison to the IT Data Warehouse team to assist in building and managing the FGP’s internal data infrastructure and reporting systems.
To be effective, the Senior Analyst will have both a technical and analytical mindset to successfully collaborate with diverse teams and functional areas including IT Data Warehouse and Reporting, Business Intelligence, EPIC EMR, corporate management, Revenue Cycle, and practice operational teams. The ideal candidate will be adept at using data to effectively communicate a business story to an audience with varying levels of technical knowledge.
The position will primarily focus on operational and financial projects for Patient Access, Revenue Cycle, and Practice Operations activity, as well assist on other FGP projects as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience with PL/SQL Oracle programming. (Writing SQL queries, stored procedure, functions, triggers, subqueries, etc.).
- Experience designing, developing, and building dashboards in Tableau or other data visualization tools.
- Experience and comfort with any programing language (Python, SAS, etc.).
- Advanced knowledge of Excel; e.g. pivot tables, writing complex formulas.
- Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for large datasets. Knowledge of Alteryx or similar ETL software like Tableau Prep, a plus.
- Ability to communicate insights from data effectively across a cross-functional team environment.
- Ability to work independently while also having a collaborative team mindset.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and adhere to deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
- Strong interest in healthcare business and ability to consider higher-level business context.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a computer science, statistics, or healthcare related major; or the equivalent combination of experience and education.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $63,935.04 - $88,400.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
