    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Special Procedures Technician/IV Cert.

    In this role, the successful candidate assists in the performance of medically prescribed radiographs and interventional procedures.

    Job Responsibilities:

    * Demonstrates knowledge of the hospital and radiology information systems as they relate to radiology.
    * Functions as a respectful member of the health care team.
    * Maintains supplies and cleanliness of space, restocks supplies as needed.Notifies supervisor of any shortage of any supplies.
    * Handles stressful situations with little or no supervision.
    * Maintains confidentiality on matters to which they are privileged.
    * Answers patient questions to ensure understanding and patient satisfaction.
    * Maintain cooperative and professional relationships with physicians, nurses and office and clinical staff.
    * Demonstrates skill in equipment set-up, utilization and proper maintenance procedure.
    * Implements patient procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards.
    * Effectively assesses patients information and status, and follows appropriate procedure(s) accordingly.
    * Performs interventional and general radiographic and fluoroscopic exams for evaluation and treatment by physician.
    * Performs other duties as assigned.
    * On Call hours of operation: Two groups of on call - Group 1 Hybrid, Group 2 Stroke. Every 6 weeks you will be responsible to be on-call for a full week from Monday-Thursday 10pm-6am Friday 10pm-Monday 6am. 6 weeks later the tech would be required to be on-call for the weekend Friday 10pm-Monday 6am.
    

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma and 5 year relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Certificate from accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
    • New York State license with IV Contrast Certification.
    • Five (5) years experience as an X-ray Technologist.
    • Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
    • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).

    Required Licenses: Radiologic Tech Lic - NYS, Am Registry Of Radiologic Tech

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Registered Technologist-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.Experience in interventional radiology.College graduate.

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $91,975.10 - $103,015.10 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
