Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Equipment Planner.
In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for involving in consulting, programming, planning and coordinating the medical equipment requirements of hospital projects. Identifies medical equipment requirements working with healthcare professionals through user group meetings and planning work sessions. Coordinates medical equipment specification information from vendors with design team members including architects, engineers and other consultants for the completion of construction documents. Responsible for preparing reports, schedules, location drawings and documents and budgets for the planned equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
* Performs other duties as assigned.
* Evaluates a projects needs and develops recommendations for equipment to be utilized in construction projects for medical facilities.
* Provides equipment specifications, utility requirements information, and related considerations during the design process to insure the correct development of final construction documentation.
* Develops and updates budgets for project medical equipment requirements. Sets daily and long-range priorities to meet established project deadlines. Facilitates meetings with medical personnel to establish appropriate type, quantities, placement and use of medical equipment.
* Reviews project drawings and coordinates equipment utility requirements for the development of architectural and engineering plans. Communicates related information between the project team, hospital personnel, vendors, architects and contractors.
* Identifies, evaluates and quantifies existing project equipment to determine potential reuse and/or retirement of equipment. Develops project equipment lists for client and architect/engineer use, according to established standards and guidelines. Maintains knowledge and understanding of emerging technologies and products.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $67,771.14 - $112,720.40 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
