    POSITION SUMMARY: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Manager-Decision Support. In this role, the successful candidate in the Decision Support and Value Improvement team is an integral team at NYU Langone Health in their role of driving value across the organization. The Decision Support team partners directly with clinical, operational, and cross-functional teams across the enterprise to provide insightful analyses to achieve institutional goals. By providing cost accounting, benchmarking, and analytical services, the Decision Support and Value Improvement team identifies opportunities and works with stakeholders to inform sound business decisions. The department is comprised of 15 team members, 5 clinical leads, and a fully dedicated IT group. Under the guidance of the Assistant Director of Decision Support and Value Improvement, the Project Manager will be responsible for the successful planning and execution of multiple large-scale projects across finance, clinical, and operational areas. This role will be involved in the day-to-day operations of the system-wide Value Based Management (VBM) initiative, which includes continuous identification of opportunities and implementation of solutions to drive value across all sites of the health system. The ideal candidate will have strong time management, organizational skills, and an ability to multi-task high priority items to ensure deadlines and deliverables are achieved to the satisfaction of our stakeholders. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a background in analytics/reporting, project management, and/or consulting.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Oversee Decision Support and Value Based Management (VBM) projects and ensure all work is coordinated, allocated appropriately, and timelines are achieved
    • Collaborate with financial, clinical, and operational stakeholders to identify opportunities and lead high priority projects for the institution
    • Develop project plans to track key milestones, owners, and target completion dates with clear process and outcome metrics to measure project success
    • Oversee opportunity quantification, project deliverables, and implementation strategy
    • Identify technical, operational, and financial impacts of major decisions and effectively communicate recommendations to project leadership
    • Package analytical findings and develop compelling presentation materials to be presented to internal and external audiences, including national conferences
    • Provide analytical support to assist in decision making for the progression of a project
    • Effectively communicate and escalate issues/concerns with clear risk mitigation plans
    • Complete status reports and present deliverables to senior leadership
    • Partner with clinical departmental leadership to ensure annual financial goals are achieved
    • Independently develop analytical frameworks for large, complex data sets and guide analysts as needed to produce reports and recommendations
    • Develop familiarity with internal and external data sources, including electronic medical record data, national benchmarking databases, and internal cost accounting systems, to allow for independent determination of necessary data elements to resolve crucial business questions from stakeholders

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify you must have a Bachelors Degree A minimum of 3-5+ years of in project management or consulting capacity Excellent analytical, organizational, and planning skills Demonstrates strong time management skills and initiative for taking on new tasks or responsibilities Exhibits effective problem solving and communication skills Strong analytical skills, the ability to develop and communicate analytical approaches, and to delegate and oversee the analytical work of others Effective problem solving skills to assist in detecting potential issues and issue resolution Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Masters Degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, or in related field Healthcare experience

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $73,770.80 - $112,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
