    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Physical Therapy Assistant, Bellevue Hospital.

    Physical Therapy Assistant works under the direct supervision of a Physical Therapist to provide appropriate functional and clinical treatments for assigned patients in a supervised program of rehabilitation.

    Job Responsibilities:

    * Demonstrates knowledge of the organizations Service Standards and incorporates them into the performance of duties.
    * Maintenance of supplies, equipment, and assistive devices.
    * Assists in the administration of testing procedures.
    * Involvement in Clinical Education within the Physical Therapy Department.
    * Documentation of all patient care related activities under the direct supervision of a Physical Therapist.
    * Application of Therapeutic Exercises and Functional Activities.
    * Application of Cold and/or Heat Modalities.
    * Patient preparation for Physical Therapy Treatment
    

    Additional Position Specific Responsibilities:
    Familiarity with working with orthopedic and neurological patient populations.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    To qualify you must have a Associates degree from an approved Physical Therapy Assistant Program plus certification by New York State as a Physical Therapy Assistant required; Excellent communication skills; Basic cardiopulmonary life support certification (BCLS certification).

    Required Licenses: Physical Therapy Assistant

    Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $62,000.00 - $94,968.97 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
