Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Manager - Hospital Operations - Mineola.
In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for supporting Hospital Operations projects by contributing to the development, implementation and success of Hospital wide projects and initiatives, including integration and merger activities. You will be expected to confidently present to senior leadership, foster high-trust relationships with key stakeholders and understand the business and operational elements that drive project success.
Job Responsibilities:
* Plan and manage Hospital Operations projects and integration efforts as determined by CEO, COO, and executive leadership.
* Utilize project management tools to develop project plans, business plans, monitor progress and support project teams.
* Carry out major assignments in conducting the operations of the project including being involved in relevant planning of long and short term objectives.
* Independently carry out tasks and communicate with key stakeholders. Delegate tasks to junior staff as appropriate. Contribute to project design with a primary focus on project execution.
* Present project progress to senior audiences with guidance.
* Build and promote positive working relationships with all stakeholders. Perform ad hoc data analysis to support project planning.
* Manage defined projects, with adjustments to project design as necessary.
* Independently carry out tasks and communicate with key stakeholders with oversight
* Provide administrative support for Hospital Operations committee meetings including agendas, key decisions, and follow up action items.
* Develop applicable process and outcome metrics to measure project success.
* Monitor project progress, tracking key milestones, using project management tools to meet customer needs.
* Manage the project meetings using project plans to meet key deadlines and ensure progress of the project.
* Assemble and maintain project plans and documentation of project progress using standardized project management tools.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Public Health Administration or related field.
2+ years of relevant progressive experience in an operational or strategic planning role. Experience with data analysis. Knowledge of project management tools, methods and best practice. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. 3 - 5 years Healthcare management experience. Ability to exercise discretion, good independent judgement, and independent thinking in selecting the optimal course of action. Excellent written and oral communication skills applicable to a wide variety of audiences. Excellent interpersonal, organization, leadership skills. Strong computer skills. Basic knowledge of project management software.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree Business Administration, Public Health Administration or related field. 1 - 2 years Project management experience. Ability to exercise sound independent judgment in selecting the optimal course of action.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $72,885.54 - $93,044.43 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
