    ROLE SUMMARY

    The HRIS & Benefits Analyst is an expert in human resources management systems. This position will be responsible for automating and configuring integrated enterprise HRIS systems that drive core people processes. Reporting to the Director of Compliance and People Systems, they play a key role in defining how people systems can be optimized to enable a high impact People function to best support growth and value to the business while providing an amazing employee (“Nandoca”) experience. This position will also be responsible for managing the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, FMLA, and 401(k) plan. This position requires a high level of confidentiality and integrity. It may also help with the implementation of cross functional payroll related activities and processes.

    KEY FOCUS AREAS

    People Systems (HRIS)

    • Support all HRIS system configuration and on-going system maintenance across our various People and Payroll system platforms which includes needs analysis, design, testing, quality control, deployment, training, and administration to meet on-going business needs.
    • Actively identifying and resolving system issues or opportunities with the end user community to identify areas of improvement, recommend changes, and implement functional solutions.
    • Build/configure, update, & maintain security and permission access, conditional rules, alerts/notifications.
    • Work closely with downstream teams (IT, People, and Payroll) on HRIS system to build system configurations, provide critical support to system implementations, testing and development of any new automations for Applicant Tracking System, Time & Attendance, Benefits Administration system, Payroll System, and ADP Data Cloud reporting and analytics.
    • Entering and updating associated employment data related to transfers, change in reporting relationships, promotions, and terminations.
    • Maintain data integrity by running queries, analyzing, and auditing data.
    • Prepares end-user documentation, training materials, and job aids.
    • Educate employees on system policies and best practices.
    • Research and resolve system problems, error reports, unexpected results and process gaps.
    • Develop, document, and maintain all current and new HRIS business process workflows, guidelines, and procedures for efficiency and compliance.
    • Develop, automate and analyze on-going and ad-hoc special reports and dashboards pertaining to duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    BENEFITS ADMINISTRATION

    • Develop and administer procedures in alignment with system capabilities and company policies for administration of company benefit programs.
    • Vendor Management - point of contact for daily operations relating to benefits program administration.
    • Assist with development of employee benefit plan design.
    • Maintain and update all benefit-related communications and presentations.
    • Support the benefits annual enrollment process and participate in testing to ensure systems and requirements are working as expected.
    • Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.
    • Holding meetings to discuss the details of a benefits program and orientating new employees.
    • Perform routine audits and quality checks of personnel file and benefit file data.
    • Respond to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
    • Process and administer leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA.
    • Provides necessary reports for allocation benefit billing charges.

    ROLE REQUIREMENTS

    • Strong problem solving/analytical skills with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
    • Extensive knowledge of employee benefits, eligibility requirements and applicable laws.
    • Able to work in a dynamic organization by balancing rapidly changing priorities and multiple demands.
    • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, macros a plus).
    • Experience with ADP Workforce Now is preferred.
    • Skilled in demonstrating innovation and creativity by continually improving internal processes.
    • Education:
      • Bachelors degree in HR or related field, but experience and/or other training/certification may be substituted for the education.
    • Five years experience in HR and/or benefits administration.
    • Physical Requirements:
      • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
    • Ability to travel as necessary according to business needs.
