    ROLE SUMMARY

    The Learning and Content Developer will be responsible for supporting the training team and developing learning and development content across the business. The role will work with the Director of Training and internal subject matter experts to ensure the concept and approach are clear both at the beginning and throughout any given project.  The focus will be researching and including best practices and available methodology to create a culture of best-in-class training through brilliantly designed content. They will be responsible for the creation of training materials and will solicit and provide feedback to make any updates necessary.

    As with all members of the Nando's family, the Learning and Content Developer will be expected to wear multiple hats, seek out opportunities to make Nando's and themselves better every day, and in general, be a good team player. The essential functions of this position are mapped out below:

    KEY FOCUS AREAS

    CONTENT & LEARNING DEVELOPMENT

    •  Provides content development and feedback to the training team and project leads about designing and implementing blended learning sessions, activities, resources, and curriculums. As well as online assessments, and other training processes to support restaurant and team's development.

    •  Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop and design learning materials, coordinate, and review educational content, and incorporate current technology in developing specific eLearning modules and pathways.

    • Proofread and edit documentation/training tools for other departments to ensure consistency of language and style, as well as the correct application of established brand guidelines.

    • Convert existing training content into engaging and effective online courses and take part in continuous content processes with the training and project leads.

    • Design, create, and update training workbooks, materials, and online content, provides exercises and activities that enhance the learning process.

    • Partner with Instructional Designers, Graphic Designers, and programmers to support eLearning content requirements.  

    • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.)

    • Utilize knowledge of LMS capabilities to recommend delivery strategies that yield a rich, meaningful, and dynamic user experience.

    • Run demos of the system and provide training to individuals and users groups as and when needed.

    • Work closely with the training team and projects leads to review and update their training content and ensure all training solutions are in line with the Nandos Values.

    • Plan and maintain instructional design projects, timelines, and project documentation.

    CONTENT AND LEARNING ADMINISTRATION

    • Manage content development and delivery process from inception to deployment.
    • Engage with project leads to support the administration and deployment of training content.
    • Manage the administration of all training materials for relevant parties and markets.
    • Manage the training calendar and ensure all published courses, webinars, and online meetings are accurate.
    • Maintain event timelines, financials, and other learning program reports.
    • Maintain accurate learning program records and update training content for all learning programs.

    ENGAGEMENT AND COMMUNICATION

    • Liaise with the appropriate departments to compile information to create engaging, instructive, and fun weekly communication to restaurants and teams.
    • Manage the LMS competition and the SWAG store.

    ROLE REQUIREMENTS

    • 3-5+ years of experience conceptualizing and developing online learning and training material for a Learning and Development team . Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant working experience required
    • At least 3-5+ experience in instructional design or curriculum development
    • 3-5+ years of experience of training content creator within a Learning Management System management; with working knowledge of Wisetail e-learning software
    • Experience with authoring multimedia and graphic tools (. e. g Adobe Captivate, Storyline, Camtasia, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models as well as training curriculum and planning skills.
    • Proven experience building and creating effective copy, instructional text, audio, and video scripts
    • Ability to create and deliver instructional content through various format
    • Experience working in/with a Training Team in Retail and Restaurant is preferred
    • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
    • Ability to work with stakeholders and small agile teams.
    • Able to work independently and be self-motivated.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
    • Proactive, professional, and positive verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and InDesign)
