    About Naples Classical Academy:

    Our mission is to train the minds and improve the hearts of young people through a content-rich classical education in the liberal arts and sciences, with instruction in the principles of moral character and civic virtue. Naples Classical Academy is a growing public charter school that opened in the fall of 2021 and now serves scholars grades K - 12. Our school follows a classical curriculum that includes a variety of important subjects including history, Philosophy, Language Arts, Mathematics, visual arts, science, music, physical education, and others. The essence of virtue, Western philosophy, and moral character permeates our curriculum as we seek to instill a love for knowledge and learning in our scholars.


    The marketing specialist is a salaried, exempt position with a 12-month work schedule. Salary

    will be set annually on a performance-based schedule. The marketing specialist will report

    to the school operations manager.

    ** Major Function**

    The marketing specialist performs administrative work in the operational and business areas

    of the organization.

    The marketing specialist’s essential duties and responsibilities are as follows:

    ** Marketing Coordination**

    • Coordinate all marketing initiatives including advertising, media, public relations,

    community relations, brand management, and outreach programs.

    ** Community Relations and Lead Generation**

    • Work closely with the school leadership team to determine the quantity of leads and

    applications essential for meeting enrollment objectives.

    • Implement strategies within the enrollment plan to cultivate and sustain a robust

    enrollment waitlist, ensuring the long-term health of the enrollment process.

    • Cultivate relationships with community members.

    • Visit businesses, community centers, preschools, churches, and other locations to

    promote the school and help meet lead generation goals.

    • Plan, promote, and execute parent information meetings, school tours (virtual and in-

    person), and special presentations about the school to various community groups and

    in various locations.

    • Build the academy’s presence in the community by participating in community

    activities including parades, competitions, and other opportunities to promote the

    school.

    • Any other duties as assigned.

    ** School Communication and Social Media**

    • Manage the school website including, but not limited to, the event calendar, teacher

    pages, and news updates.

    • Coordinate and send the weekly school newsletter(s).

    • Create and post routine social media posts and manage all social media outlets.

    • Any other duties as assigned.

    ** School Events**

    • Plan and organize admission events ****and receptions for prospective students and

    families.

    • Assist the teachers with planning field trips, registrations, and logistics.

    • Plan, coordinate, and execute school events throughout the year, which may include,

    but not limited to:

    o Open house / meet the teacher

    o Curriculum nights

    o Parent information meetings

    o Movie nights, talent shows, and other events, as desired at the Head of

    School’s request

    o Prom

    o Graduation

    o Hosted sporting events at the school

    • Any other duties as assigned.

    ** Fundraising Events**

    • Plan, coordinate, market, promote, and execute fundraising events throughout the

    year, which may include, but not limited to:

    o Raise Craze

    o Annual Golf Tournament (Fall)

    o Annual 5K and Fun Run (Winter)

    o Annual Gala (Spring)

    o Monthly “give back” nights with local restaurants and organizations

    o Box Tops for Education, Amazon Smile, and other ongoing fundraising

    opportunities

    o Other events, as requested

    • Any other duties as assigned.

    ** Volunteer Management**

    • Recruit, onboard, train, and oversee volunteers, which may include, but not limited

    to:

    o Weekly volunteers for teacher projects

    o Daily cafeteria monitors

    o Field trip chaperones

    • Any other duties as assigned.

    ** Other**

    • Plan, coordinate, and oversee the following programs during the school year, which

    may include, but not limited to:

    o School picture program

    o Uniform assistance program (in conjunction with the school counselor)

    • Assist with the PTC’s marketing efforts as directed by the school operations manager

    and Head of School.

    • Assist with carline as needed.

    • Any other duties as assigned.

    ** Minimum Qualifications**

    • High School degree.

    • Associate's degree in business or related field preferred; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

    • Two (2) years of related professional experience. Marketing, Event Planning or

    Communications preferred.

    • Competency in Word, Excel, Email Marketing, Web Content, Canva, Budgeting and

    Social Media channels.

    • Good verbal and written communication skills to work with vendors, teachers,

    leadership, parents, and students.

    • Create and/or coordinate school events, fundraisers, and volunteer programs.

    the school’s mission and vision, and the moral character and civic virtue the school

    embodies.
