ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prospect, qualify, present, close, and maintain good working relationships.
Act as company representative when meeting customers, public, and business associates.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Working with sales management, create an annual business and sales plan with specific goals and objectives to be achieved.
The plan should include but not be limited to:
Revenue goals.
Approved target markets and accounts.
Use of company policies, processes, programs and plans.
Establishing a goal for prospect calls and face-to-face meetings.
Identify, qualify, prospect and close national account household goods transportation business and selected other revenue opportunities.
Develop and grow a key prospect list of “fortune” accounts, management assigned accounts and those added by Sales representative’s choice, to include, but not be limited to those where buying decisions are made in key markets and office locations.
Keep up to date records and progress on strategy in company CRM, following the “selling process” for all key prospects.
Negotiate transportation contracts and agreements, including renewal agreements.
Focus on closing new business.
Maintain & nurture existing client base.
Attending meetings, seminars and trade shows as requested.
Act as company representative when meeting the public, customers and business associates.
Consistently demonstrate a willingness to be part of a sales team, a commitment to continue learning and developing professionally, and a disposition to interact with sales management to improve effectiveness on all parts of the “Selling process”.
