Job Description
WE ARE ONSITE A 2-3 DAYS PER WEEK
The Human Resources Generalist will focus on assisting recruiting efforts, including sourcing diverse candidates. This role will also operate as an integral part of an HR team that is responsible for the following:
- Recruiting and hiring (e.g., conducting background and reference checks)
- Developing and maintaining position descriptions
- Conducting new hire HR onboarding process
- Maintaining HRIS and reviewing payroll with accounting
- Administering benefits
- Ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws/regulations
- Administering leave under FMLA and workplace accommodations per ADA
- Managing work authorization verification, tracking, and communications with immigration attorney
- Participating in organizing employee events
- Supporting diversity and inclusion programs
- Maintaining HR data, analysis, and reporting
- Maintaining employee data and personnel records
- Administering company participation in best places to work surveys
YOU SHOULD POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Three to five years of experience as a human resource generalist
- Possess judgment and experience in handling employee issues and sensitive data (e.g., compensation) discreetly
- Must be able to multitask, stay well organized, and exhibit flexibility in a fast-paced environment
- Tenacious, determined, and enthusiastic about meeting deadlines
- Self-starter, taking initiative on daily tasks and working in an organized manner
- Demonstrated critical thinking and good judgment, as well as constructive problem solving
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience with HRIS technology to manage HR data
- BS/BA degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or related field
- A plus - HR certification with SHRM and/or HRCI
