    Job Description

    ABOUT THE POSITION:

    National Grid is seeking a Project Support Analyst to join the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Field Deployment Group on a contract-basis, for a 1 year period. This position will initially work in a hybrid format, with an expected 1 day per week in-office at National Grid 300 Erie Boulevard West, Syracuse, NY 13202. As the project progresses, required time in-office is expected to become less frequent.

    We are the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Field Deployment Group at National Grid. You will be joining us at an exciting time, as we are responsible to deliver a very large capital project for National Grid's Upstate NY customer base. We are determined to exceed expectations of our customers, shareholders, and communities today and make possible the energy systems of tomorrow. The AMI team is responsible for installing 2.4 million smart meter devices across upstate NY in the next 4-5 years. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO): • Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to obtain and share information that will benefit National Grid. • Perform analysis and management of open orders, inventory levels, workplans, stocking points, master data, supplier performance, materials management, track receipts, issues, invoice payments • Provide all aspects of materials management related to process and systems expertise, including business support of inventory systems and technology hardware, ad-hoc and routine reporting, and end user training. • Independently collate and analyze work unit and/or financial data within one or multiple areas using pre-determined tools, methods and formats in order to support the department’s decision making process. • Monitor and review reporting, updating where necessary in order to identify any anomalies or discrepancies and ensure management has access to up to date and accurate information. • Work on other tasks and projects as assigned by management. • Travel up to 10% within the Upstate New York region might be required • Work remotely, report to Syracuse Office Complex once per month or as requested

    KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: • A Bachelor's degree in a supply chain, finance, or systems. • Knowledge and experience in systems, inventory management, warehousing, accounting, and/or procurement is a plus. • Expert in creating and maintaining spreadsheets in Excel. • Exposure to SAP or equivalent ERP system is a plus. • Proficient working with financial and statistical analysis.

    • Experience with Power BI and Microsoft Access is preferred. • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint). Visio and Projects is preferred.
