    Travel:  Travel regularly to various sites, including Tulsa, OK; Cincinnati, OH; Canton, OH; and Rock Hill, SC, to address specific quality concerns, train teams, and ensure compliance with standards.

    IES Infrastructure is a leading provider of electrical and mechanical apparatus services, custom steel fabrication, and custom power solutions, including generator enclosures and bus systems. With exceptional engineering, custom steel fabrication, and manufacturing capabilities, we service and supply critical power equipment and complex structural systems to a geographically diverse customer base. We also have strategically located service centers that provide best-in-class rewind, reconditioning, and remanufacturing of electrical apparatuses, including AC/DC motors, transformers, switchgear/circuit breakers, and generators.

    The National Quality Manager role focuses exclusively on our
    enclosure business, which includes Technibus, Freeman Enclosures, and Wedlake Fabricating, delivering high-quality, customized enclosure solutions.

     

    Job Overview:

    The National Quality Manager will lead quality assurance initiatives across all of our enclosure manufacturing units. This role will drive consistency, quality, and process improvements in alignment with ISO standards and other technical quality metrics. You will collaborate with internal teams and external customers to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to quality performance metrics.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • ISO and Technical Quality Leadership:   Drive the implementation and improvement of ISO standards and other technical quality metrics throughout the organization.
    • Weekly Collaboration:   Lead weekly conference calls to discuss open quality issues, corrective actions, and resolutions across all manufacturing facilities.
    • Cross-Unit Consistency:   Standardize quality processes and metrics across all manufacturing units, ensuring uniformity in quality control procedures.
    • Welding, Painting & Fabrication Expertise:   Oversee quality aspects related to welding, painting, and fabrication, ensuring they meet or exceed customer expectations (experience in these areas is a strong plus).
    • Customer Scorecard Management:   Manage customer scorecards, tracking variance, performance, and other key quality indicators to ensure customer satisfaction and contractual obligations.
    • Team Leadership:   Lead and mentor a quality team, driving best practices and continuous improvements across multiple locations.
    • Corrective Actions & Problem-Solving:
      Identify, document, and address quality issues, implementing corrective actions and driving root cause analysis for long-term improvements.

     

    Required Qualifications:

    • Experience:   Minimum of 5 years in a quality management role, with experience leading teams in a manufacturing environment. Experience with welding, painting, and fabrication processes is a plus.
    • ISO Standards:   Strong understanding of ISO standards and experience implementing and maintaining them within a large organization.
    • Leadership:   Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and driving quality initiatives across multiple sites.
    • Technical Knowledge:   Solid technical knowledge related to enclosures, welding, painting, and fabrication processes.
    • Communication:   Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead discussions with both internal teams and external customers.
    • Travel:   Willingness to travel regularly to different sites, including Tulsa, OK; Cincinnati, OH; Canton, OH; and Rock Hill, SC, to address quality-related tasks and support team development.
