NationsBenefits is seeking Licensed Insurance Sales Agents for the Medicare Annual Election Period (AEP) to support insurance enrollment for health plans throughout the United States. Our Agents will serve as the primary enrollment point of contact for prospective members, creating a bridge between them and the health plan for whom we represent.
The Agent will sell, solicit, and differentiate insurance plans that match the needs of prospective members. Subsequently, the Agent will enroll members using both our internal CRM and external software into various health plans we represent. This individual will be trained on Medicare, the specific insurance products, and the enrollment process.
With respect to compliance, an Agent must be knowledgeable of, and operate consistently with all applicable laws, ethics, and standards of conduct for Insurance in the states for which they are licensed.
The Agent may be asked to assist with other duties and projects assigned by Management to support the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contact leads in a timely and appropriate fashion as set forth by the Company
- Manage and maintain book of business within health plans sales system
- Develop marketing strategies to compete with other individuals or companies who sell insurance
- Ensure that policy requirements are fulfilled, including any necessary medical examinations and the completion of appropriate forms
- Explain features, advantages, and disadvantages of various policies to promote sales
- Calculate premiums and establish payment method
- Attend meetings, seminars and programs to learn about new products and services, learn new skills, and receive technical assistance in developing new accounts
- Work with current members on policy renewals
- Support, develop and maintain relationships with all customers
- Work closely with other team members to ensure caller data, status, and inquiries are accurate and being properly addressed
- Utilize necessary resources and navigate systems efficiently to accurately verify and provide accurate information to members
- Generate enrollments using available education on Medicare and the various health plans
- Collaborate with management, as needed
- Assist with creating marketing\training materials - i.e., comparison shopping tools
- Perform special projects as needed and member overflow duties, as requested
- Other duties as may be assigned

- Computer literacy, with specific knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent. College degree is a plus!
- Have a valid health insurance agent license
- 2 – 5 years as a telesales representative or other sales/customer service role
- Proven track record of successfully meeting sales quota, preferably over the phone
