Job Summary

We are seeking a Cafeteria Cook who will be working in the cafeteria each day to prepare the food portions, set food out for students or work behind the counter to create made-to-order meals, and assist students as needed with service. You will also maintain a clean, safe working environment by staying on top of dishes, cleaning the food preparation areas, and keeping the cafeteria itself clean and tidy. The ideal candidate has excellent customer service skills, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with children, and is comfortable working on your feet for long stretches of time.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing and portioning food for the cafeteria

Restock food and cafeteria items as needed

Serve students as needed, and assist them in finding what they are looking for

Maintain a clean work environment at all times

Follow all food safety guidelines

Qualifications

Excellent customer service skills

Familiarity with best practices when it comes to food safety desired

The ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
