Position Summary:
The network administrator at Grand Canyon Resort Corporation has a diverse and critical set of responsibilities. From safeguarding our network security and overseeing system updates to training users, this role is essential to the smooth operation of our organization. Success requires deep technical knowledge of a wide array of computer systems, hardware, and software, enabling the administrator to contribute significantly to our continued growth.
Duties & Responsibilities:
● Assist in network design, implementation, and maintenance
● Provide network support across organizational operating systems
● Maintain stable and consistent connectivity across all network computers
● Prepare, implement, and monitor disaster procedures and recovery
Knowledge and Abilities:
● Knowledge of networking, general computing, and information security principles
● Ability to set up networks in datacenters, staff offices, as well as remote locations
● Familiarity with network and computer troubleshooting
● Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to provide support to users
● Ability to troubleshoot and solve computer and network problems
Qualifications:
● Two or more years of experience in a network administration role
● Comprehensive knowledge of networking concepts and computing infrastructures
● Proven skills in network engineering, operations, and performance analysis
● Experience with leading server management and monitoring tools
● Strong communication skills for training and assisting users
Preferred Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related field
● Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016 and up
● Experience with Cisco/Meraki switches and routers
● Professional certification, such as CISSP, CCNA, or CCNP
● Experience with tourism or hospitality industries
Working Conditions:
Work will generally be performed using computer equipment in an indoor office environment. Setup or maintenance of some peripheral equipment may require work in areas such as data rooms or wiring closets with restricted room for movement. May be required to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 25 lbs. May be required to climb to reach equipment in inaccessible locations.
