    Role Description:

    The Network Engineer will provide IT customers with technical support with a variety of IT components.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Outage network down support and troubleshooting.
    • Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN controllers, DNS and DHCP
    • Configuring firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security.
    • Customer technical support escalations as needed.
    • Research and Development - Participate in ongoing efforts to improve our network designs.
    • Maximizes performance by troubleshooting network problems, outages, and scheduling upgrades.
    • Collaborates with network architects on network optimization.
    • Participate in the Engineering On-Call rotation.
    • Voice communications support.
    • Network documentation.
    • Network installations and configurations (travel may be required)
    • Site Surveys / Site Repair Visits (travel may be required).

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work well with all team members in the organization, customers, and vendors.
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Flexibility and adaptability are critical in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong understanding of TCP/IP and VLANs.

    Education and Experience:

    • High school diploma required.
    • Bachelor’s degree and/or technical networking certification preferred.
    • Minimum 3 years networking experience.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Computer work
    • Communications rack – equipment installation
    • Ability to conduct site visits in the field.
    • Ability to lift 20 pounds.
