    Job Overview:

    We are hiring a skilled Network Security Engineer to support a network security assessment engagement for a telecommunications client. This role involves reviewing security configurations, assessing network segmentation architectures, and providing actionable insights tailored for senior stakeholders.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Analyze network security configurations across devices such as firewalls, routers, IDS/IPS solutions, and other infrastructure.
    • Extract and document network security architecture deployments, identifying gaps and areas for improvement.
    • Assess network segmentation strategies based on best practices for telecommunications networks.
    • Develop concise reports in PowerPoint and Excel that translate technical analysis into insights for senior executives.
    • Provide industry expertise on network security best practices, including core network infrastructure for service providers and telco data centres.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance the overall cybersecurity posture of telecommunication networks.

    Required Qualifications & Skills:

    • 5+ years of experience in network engineering, network security, or cybersecurity consulting.
    • Strong expertise in assessing configurations across Cisco routers, NGFWs, load balancers, and IDS/IPS solutions.
    • Experience with enterprise network standards (e.g., remote access security and device hardening).
    • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP (e.g., VPCs/VNets).
    • Familiarity with compliance standards such as NIST, CIS, ISO 27001.
    • Strong communication skills with an ability to present findings clearly to stakeholders using PowerPoint and Excel.
    • Certifications preferred: CCNP Security, CISSP, CEH, GIAC (or equivalent).
