Job Responsibilities:
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues within government administration systems.
Monitor network performance and ensure optimal operation of all network components.
Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
Collaborate with IT teams to develop and enforce network security policies and procedures.
Conduct regular network assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
Provide training and support to end-users regarding network access and usage.
Stay updated on the latest networking technologies and trends to enhance network performance and security.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in network support or a similar role, preferably within a government or public sector environment.
Strong understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
Knowledge of network security practices and technologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users.
Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are preferred.
