    What You’ll Do

    Arista Networks is seeking an accomplished Pre-Sales Network Systems Engineer who will leverage their technical expertise of mission critical networks and routing and switching in our Financial Services and Trading customers to provide technical systems engineering support to expand the Arista brand for our customers.

    • The Pre-Sales Systems Engineer is a critical component of the Arista Sales team with the key responsibility of acting as a trusted advisor for our customers and partners to gather requirements and identify opportunities with existing and new customers.
    • Own the pre and post-sales technical relationship with the assigned customers including support and research of customer requirements and design questions
    • Build and maintain a deep, sound knowledge of all Arista technologies, in order to support and help in the enablement of strategic partners with a focus on low latency and high performance networking solutions and designs.
    • Facilitate technical training on Arista’s low latency products, differentiators, solutions, and demos
    • Engage with key partners to develop proficiencies in delivering services around Arista’s solution set
    • Participate in the execution of Proof of Concepts (POCs) of Arista Low Latency, L1 and Multicast-based solutions
    • Execute technical Quarterly Business Reviews with Customers to review any critical issues or questions
    • Support onsite requirements at the customer
    • Respond to inbound questions and technical requests from the customer which require further research and lab verification
    • Present technical content to worldwide organizations both virtually and in-person
    • Create technical marketing and training materials for the global Arista organization to be used with Financial Services customers and Low Latency use-cases.
    • Travel expectations is approximately 30%
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • You are a driven Pre-Sales Systems Engineer or Network Architect with a passion for acting as a technical trusted advisor for your customers. You possess in-depth technical expertise within routing and switching including network architecture and design experience in Trading and Financial Network environments.
    • Minimum of 5 years of networking design and implementation experience with a focus on Financial Services and Trading use cases, Low Latency and Multicast Design and general Data Center solutions.
    • Strong presentation and selling skills including complex and in-depth technical topics.
    • Solid understanding and knowledge of how to build successful relationships between an equipment manufacturer and a customer architecture, engineering and operations team.
    • Good interpersonal skills, customer relations skills, and problem management skills, with the ability to stay calm and professional under pressure while working to strict deadlines
    • Experience creating technical material (slides, white papers, battle cards, solution guides, etc)
    • Solid knowledge of competitive products, solutions, and services
    • Experience with complex low latency network design with a focus on multicast and QoS is required.
    • Previous experience building network automation using Python and Ansible desired
    • Network Industry Certification including Arista Cloud Engineer (ACE) level 3-5 desired.
