Job Overview:
In this exciting role as a Network Administrator, you will utilize advanced technology to maintain continuous monitoring and management of our client's network, swiftly identifying and addressing any performance issues, bottlenecks, or security threats that may arise.
Responsibilities will include performing ongoing maintenance tasks such as installing patches, updates, and security fixes to ensure the network remains up-to-date and secure. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in assisting with configuration changes to firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and virtual private networks, while contributing to the development of robust security policies and procedures.
Optimizing the configuration of routers, switches, and access points will be essential to maintaining efficient and reliable network operations. You will also collaborate on the development and execution of strategies for migrating from On-premises to Cloud Network environments, leveraging your expertise to enhance scalability and performance. Regular analysis and management of network performance will be key, providing the Department with insightful weekly reports to facilitate informed decision-making.
Moreover, you will work closely with the Department to formulate comprehensive disaster recovery plans, ensuring network resilience and continuity in the face of potential disasters or disruptions. With a commitment to excellence, you will provide around-the-clock support, offering consultation on technology trends, network architecture, and strategic planning to support the Department’s long-term objectives and operational success. Additionally, perform other duties as required.
Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of 4 years of IT work experience in Infrastructure/Network Environments
- Possess excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of individuals including, but not limited to, the following: executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Possess excellent technical writing skills, including the ability to write complex reports, plans, and briefings.
- Understand how to maintain the confidentiality of records in accordance with organization's policy.
- Have a deep understanding of networking technologies, including LAN, WAN, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks.
Possess a proven track record of successfully managing networks for clients in diverse industries.
Be well-versed in implementing and managing security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and virtual private networks (VPNs) - Have experience working in Azure or similar cloud platforms, including developing and implementing security plans and migration strategies.
- Have experience provisioning resources in the Cloud (Virtual machines, databases, networking components, storage).
- Have experience configuring virtual networks (setting up subnets, security groups, network traffic routing).
- Have experience configuring access controls in Azure Active Directory or equivalent.
- Be adept at utilizing network monitoring tools and analyzing network performance metrics to identify and address issues proactively.
- Be able to communicate technical concepts to non-technical individuals, understand client requirements, and provide timely updates and reports.
- Works on projects/systems/issues of small to medium complexity
- Provides daily operations support and maintenance for network systems
- Works on one project at a time as a project team member
- Functions independently, under general direction of the Senior Technicians/engineers, supervisors, or managers
- Follows documented procedures and checklists

Education Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor’s Degree, or technical institute degree/certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field. or equivalent work experience
Education Preferences/Licenses/Certifications:
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- CompTIA Network+ (with valid ID number)
- Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA), among others.
