    DoveLewis Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital is seeking full-time Veterinary Technicians to join our expanding Neurology team!

    As a Technician and a member of our Neurology team, you will be responsible for providing care to patients in conjunction with our Neurologist. We are looking for an individual that is passionate and excited about practicing the highest quality medicine, strives for excellence, has great interpersonal skills, and approaches patients and clients in a compassionate and empathetic manner.

    Neurology Technicians assist with the care of neurology service patients, performing anesthesia, facilitating imaging with our 64-slice CT and brand-new 3 Tesla MRI and assisting with neurosurgery in addition to other facets of patient care.

    Wage Range:

    • $26-$32 hourly for unlicensed technicians/Veterinary Assistant Level 3
    • $28-$36 hourly for Certified Veterinary Technicians (or other license type that is transferrable to Oregon)
    • $36-$40 hourly for Veterinary Technician Specialists (must also be licensed/qualify to be licensed in Oregon)

    Schedule: Our team is expanding quickly so multiple schedule options are currently available and will most like work 4 10-hour shifts per week. If you have other schedule needs, please feel free to reach out and start a conversation, we're always happy to discuss options. **

    What are we looking for in a candidate?**

    • Lifelong learners who are eager to face new challenges every day and actively participate in our teaching hospital culture.
    • A commitment to providing both patients and clients with the highest standard of care at a client-centered hospital.
    • 2+ years' experience working in the veterinary field as a licensed technician or experienced veterinary assistant.
    • 1+ year experience in neurology or another specialty preferred
    • Experience and comfort with surgery and anesthesia including for critical patients
    • Current status as a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) in the state of Oregon OR currently Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) OR Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) with the ability to transfer license to Oregon highly preferred.
    • We are open to considered unlicensed Veterinary Assistants with significant relevant experience.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Any suitable combination of experience or education may substitute for the above.
