    New Gig has partnered with a growing CPA firm in Idaho to help them as they are in full growth mode. 

    Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing various accounting and financial reporting tasks to support our clients and ensure their financial operations are in compliance with regulations and standards.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP.
    • General Ledger: Assist in maintaining the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
    • Audit Support: Participate in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
    • Tax Preparation: Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns and other compliance filings.
    • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions.
    • Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
    • Variance Analysis: Perform variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
    • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
    • Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to address their accounting needs and concerns.
    • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to their implementation.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Experience: 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting firm.
    • Certifications: CPA or working towards CPA designation is preferred.
    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, etc.).
    • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
    • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Team Player: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
    • Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
