    POSITION SUMMARY:  Operating within the Division of Human Resources, HR Connect is an HR service center that provides a single point of contact for the delivery of HR transactional and administrative services to all DOE employees and applicants supported by state of the art technology.

     

    The HR Connect Trainer designs, develops and delivers training for the Division of Human Resources and the HR Connect Call Center, primarily for Customer Information Representatives answering calls from teachers and other staff.  Training programs include all applicable programs, processes and policies, systems, customer service and other appropriate subject matter.

     

    REPORTS TO:  Manager, Training Team

     

    DIRECT REPORTS: N/A

     

    KEY RELATIONSHIPS: Works closely with the Content Development teams and HR Connect Management to ensure effective administration of training to applicable staff.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    Training Program Development and Delivery

     

    • Develops and coordinates the delivery of both classroom and elearning training programs and materials in the areas of technology, customer service, procedures and policies and professional development for DOE employees.
    • Updates/creates new training and delivers training programs as technology, processes and procedures change.
    • Writes content and training with a consistent message, appropriate tone, and detail for intended audience.

     

    _Training Assessment _

     

    • Monitors training feedback, identifies skill gaps and implements necessary improvements.
    • Facilitates group information gathering, idea-generation, decision-making, problem-solving and other collaborative group processes and interactions.
    • Tests trainees to measure progress to evaluate effectiveness of training.
    • Uses appropriate learning and development effectiveness measurement tools.
    • Complies and analyzes cost-benefit results of training provided.
    • Monitors training methods to evaluate effectiveness of training.

     

    _Training Program Administration _

     

    • Develops, coaches and mentors staff as needed.
    • Coordinates training schedules around hiring and training demands.
    • Maintains training records to submit to the management team.

     

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

     

    MINIMUM

     

    1. A master's degree from an accredited college in economics, finance, accounting, business or public administration, human resources management, management science, operations research, organizational behavior, industrial psychology, statistics, personnel administration, labor relations, psychology, sociology, human resources development, political science, or a closely related field, and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in budget administration, economic or financial administration, fiscal or economic research; management or methods analysis, operations research, organizational research or program evaluation; educational, personnel or public administration, recruitment, position classification, personnel relations, labor relations, employee benefits, staff development, employment program planning/administration, labor market research, economic planning, fiscal management, or a related area, for educational program(s) and/or institution(s), 18 months of which must have been in an executive, managerial, administrative or supervisory capacity.  Supervision must have included supervising staff performing professional work in the areas described above; or

    2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time professional experience as described in "1" above, including the 18 months of executive, managerial, administrative or supervisory experience described in "1" above.

     

    PREFERRED

     

    • Master’s degree in business administration, human resources, education, organizational development, or related field.
    • 2-3 years’ experience in service center environment or in human resource training.
    • 3+ years’ experience developing both elearning and classroom training materials.
    • Knowledge of creative training techniques, adult learning, and accelerated learning.
    • Understanding of CRM, case management and knowledge base tools used in a service center.
    • Internal candidates preferred.

     

    SALARY: $63,837+
