POSITION SUMMARY: The City Laborer works within the Division of School Facilities (DSF) of the Department of Education (DOE) to ensure a safe and clean environment for all students of the New York City public school system. S/he performs common unskilled laboring work requiring physical strength. Performs related work.
REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Mechanics (Mechanical Equipment)
DIRECT REPORTS: N/A
KEY RELATIONSHIPS: Relationships will be fostered with other DSF management and skilled trade staff.

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
Possession of Class B Commercial Driver License (CDL) valid in the State of New York is required. There may be certain age requirements to obtain this license. Employees must maintain the Class B Commercial Driver License (CDL) during their employment.
SALARY: $281.52 per day
(Internal candidates who are selected for this position and who currently hold comparable or less senior positions within the DOE will not make less than their current salary.)
