Newborn Care Specialist

Compensation: $40-$50 per hour

Duration: Short-term (2-4 weeks, with potential for extension)

Schedule: Overnight, approximately 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 7 days per week (hours negotiable based on candidate’s availability)

Live-Out position: candidates must have reliable transportation to the family’s home

Role Overview:
Seeking an experienced and compassionate Newborn Care Specialist to support a family during the recovery period following a scheduled C-section on November 22, 2024. The position will provide overnight care for our newborn, with a tentative start date of November 25 or 26. This is a short-term position expected to last 2-4 weeks, with potential for extension based on the family’s needs. Must be pet friendly, there is a friendly long-haired cat.

Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive, overnight newborn care, including feeding, changing, soothing, and monitoring
• Assist with establishing a sleep routine and ensuring a calm and safe sleep environment
• Be available to support the mother if needed during her recovery

• Maintain a tidy sleep area and handle any necessary light newborn-related tasks

Requirements:

• Proven experience in newborn care, preferably as a Newborn Care Specialist or Night Nurse
• CPR/First Aid certification
• Non-smoker and comfortable with pets
• Own transportation to and from the family’s home

• Provide 3-5 professional references
