    Job Description

    PURCHASING ASSISTANT JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Prominent custom home builder in North Valley seeking Purchasing Assistant. Position requires strong organization skills, attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment all while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Must be a self-starter and have the desire to work as part of a team.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: (OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED)

    • Review bids to ensure accuracy and have corrected as needed
    • Communicate and coordinate with Project Managers and Superintendents when needed
    • Create and Maintain Homefront options in database
    • Enter and maintain all documents in the vendor database to include plans, sub-lists, community information, and documentation, etc. 
    • Respond to calls/emails from production regarding contracts, plans, misc. questions, etc.
    • Respond to calls/emails from subcontractors regarding contracts, field concerns, etc.
    • Complete all established paperwork, reports, and files in accordance with the company format and timeframes.
    • Present a professional image in accordance with company appearance standards.
    • Maintain a high level of ethics and integrity in all dealings.
    • Maintain a personal time management system to facilitate organization and efficiency.
    • Demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills.
    • Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
    • Prepare and process subcontract proposals
    • Maintain base house budget
    • Maintain all pricing in database – Homefront – Hyphen Solutions

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

    ·         Excellent relationship development skills: This role interacts extensively with customers, vendors, and the internal purchasing team

    ·         Must have excellent organizational skills and be detail-oriented

    ·         Proficiency in Microsoft Excel 

    ·         Experience with residential construction concepts and practices

    ·         Prefer Purchasing experience in the Home Building Industry

    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Experience in Hyphen Solutions/BuildPro/SupplyPro a plus
    • Reliable transportation
    • Arizona Driver's License
    • Car Insurance

    Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

    Salaried Position – Pay depends on experience

    Medical Insurance available
