Nfp Outreach Coordinator
The Outreach Coordinator strives to create collaborations and partnerships within the communities they support to produce permanent and potential referral sources, build a community of support for the program and its participants, and identify creative opportunities for marketing. Acting as an intermediary among community organizations and services, the Outreach Coordinator will work in collaboration with the NFP teams to conduct outreach activities in designated markets to increase demand and referrals to the NFP program. This position reports to the NFP Director, who evaluates performance annually. Responsibilities: Day in the life: On a typical day, an Outreach Coordinator can expect to do the following... • Establish and maintain professional relationships with community organizations that may be permanent or potential referral partners. Make visits to community partners to receive referrals, distribute client recruitment materials, and make presentations to community groups and healthcare providers. Staff community events and be prepared to speak about NFP and all of Goodwill’s programs and services. Record outreach efforts and use data to drive growth in referrals. • Identify and share about NFP’s Community Advisory Board with community stakeholders. Help drive attendance and participation. • Find and create community resource asset maps for the service area. Attend team meetings to learn about NFP family needs and help Nurse Home Visitors identify and access community resources. Qualifications: Required Knowledge & Skills: • Excellent interpersonal communication. • Proven experience of ability to engage in collaboration with community organizations and/or healthcare organizations. • Proven experience in organizational skills and project development. • Ability to work independently, and self-motivated with little direction. • Positive attitude with a willingness to collaborate. • Persuasive, strong leadership skills, and jovial personality. • Forward-thinking, creative, and innovative. Genuine interest and curiosity in learning new skills. • Tech savvy and ability to navigate social media platforms. • Licensed motor vehicle operator in the state of Indiana with active automobile insurance. Prior Experience & Education: • Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field. Will consider candidates with an associate degree with related work experience. • Two+ years of related work experience, including non-profit, outreach, or work associated directly with a community group. Knowledge of community resources. Experience with urban settings, diverse environments, or communities facing extreme poverty is a plus. Compensation: $45,000
