    We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting attorneys and advocates in providing legal services to survivors of domestic violence and other crimes. This position requires strong organizational skills, some legal knowledge, and a sensitivity to the challenges faced by survivors.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Prepare and file legal documents, including restraining orders, family law pleadings, and other court filings.

    Conduct client intake with empathy and discretion, gathering essential case information.

    Organize and maintain case files and confidential records.

    Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and legal consultations.

    Conduct legal research on family law, domestic violence statutes, and related matters.

    Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and community partners.

    Monitor case deadlines and manage legal calendars.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited program or related experience

    Experience in family law, domestic violence cases, or social justice advocacy (preferred).

    Knowledge of legal procedures related to domestic violence and family law.

    Strong organizational and time-management skills.

    Ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality.

    Compassionate approach and trauma-informed communication skills.

    Proficiency in [Microsoft Office Suite, legal research databases, case management software].

    Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
