    Job Description

    Workforce Development Company for the Underserved Community is seeking a Job Developer in working with the underserved population . Location is in Fresno, California. The ideal candidate is self motivated with an ability to develop new business and partnership with hiring employers, providing career counseling to low-income and underserved job seekers. This role is temp to perm paying $27 dollars an hour as temp and paying up to $59,000 when converted to perm.

    Must have a Bachelors Degree

    Identify and outreach employers with open job opportunities to generate new leads

    • Develop partnerships with employers to help program participants find jobs in a variety of in-demand and growing industries
    • Provide career coaching/counseling, interview prep, and resume reviews for job-ready participants
    • Meet with participants and job seekers to match them with available job opportunities
    • Schedule participants with employer partners for interviews, conduct on-going follow-up with candidates sent on job interviews
    • Generate sales leads and obtain referrals from current employer partnerships
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with employer partners, including conducting on-site visits to ensure quality of service and generate additional job orders
    • Meet weekly, quarterly, and annual job placement numbers
    • Effectively manage a daily schedule of site visits, appointments, and overall territory management
    • Model professionalism and inclusiveness, cultivate a safe environment for career development, and motivated clients to find full-time employment

    Experience engaging with low-income and underserved communities strongly preferred

    • Excellent negotiating, customer service, and cold calling skills
    • Passion for working with special and at-risk populations, including but not limited to public assistance recipients, justice-involved individuals, persons with mental and/or physical disabilities, military veterans, and individuals experiencing homelessness Understanding of workforce development, employment services, and adult education a definite plus

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, CRMs (i.e. Salesforce), and video call software preferred

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $49,000.00 - $59,000.00 per year
