Job Description

Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our Norlab Laboratory Technician I position. The Norlab Laboratory Technician I is responsible for completing analysis of product using established methods and utilizing laboratory process instrumentation. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Operate and maintain process instrument based auto-sampling and analyzer systems
• Recognize problems with and trouble shoot the above mentioned analysis systems
• Perform scheduled calibration or equipment maintenance
• Prepare Certificate of Analysis and labels as required
• Adhere to all established procedures, policies and safety rules
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Perform other tasks as assigned or necessary

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent

• 1 year of college chemistry and/or previous experience in lab operation is preferred

• Previous knowledge of cylinders and gases

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time

• Ability to accurately enter data into computer and acquire a working knowledge of any software
  applications necessary to the position

• Ability to set up and perform basic algebra
