    Job Description

    We are seeking a full-time, salaried Population Health Data Analyst, Monday -Friday (8am-5pm) to support our agency to promote and protect the health and well-being of the Medicaid Eligible Individuals of Madison, Morgan, Cullman, Limestone, Marshall, and Jackson Counties. The candidate in this position can reside in any of the counties we serve.

    This position is predominantly remote but will require in office meetings and occasional remote night meetings.

    Qualifications

    Minimum – B.S degree in a science, public health, or statistical-related field with seven (7) years of relevant experience in public health data analysis, epidemiology, or statistical analysis or master’s degree in a science, public health, or statistical related field with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in public health data analysis, epidemiology, or statistical analysis.

    Experience

    • 5 years of experience writing SQL queries or similar languages with knowledge of database design, data entry, and data management.
    • 5 years of experience managing large, complex, and longitudinal datasets; moving and merging data files from different platforms cleaning and aggregating data and performing quality control.
    • Must demonstrate the ability to use statistical software such as SAS, SPSS, or R for statistical analysis.
    • Ability to use Tableau, Microsoft EXCEL, and Power BI to manipulate, analyze, and visualize data for dashboards and presentations.
    • Knowledge and/or experience with external data sources such as Department of Public Health and Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
