    Job Description

    This is a full-time hourly position reporting to the Billing Manager. This position is responsible for private pay collections and the management of all incoming / outgoing calls from / to patients / guarantors.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Resolves billing concerns and issues for patients
    • Investigates patient billing issues and complaints
    • Transfers calls to the appropriate department
    • Thoroughly reviews, records, and resolves all customer communications for all North Atlanta primary Care locations.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • College degree preferred
    • 3 - 5 years experience and/or education in the healthcare billing/collections field
    • 1+ year experience in financial debt counseling
    • Outbound call experience in a professional setting
    • Excellent written and verbal skills
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Advanced customer service and phone skills
    • Ability to multi-task efficiently, works in a fast paced environment on multiple projects
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including word, Excel and Outlook
    • Working knowledge of major insurance carriers
    • Working knowledge of revenue cycle
    • Able to pass background investigation and drug test
    • Experience preparing accounts to refer to collection agency
    • General knowledge of CPT/ICD10
    • Background and Drug Screen Required
    • Previous Primary Care Experience

    NORTH ATLANTA PRIMARY CARE is an independently owned practice which currently has offices in 10 locations: __ Alpharetta, Braselton, Cumming, East Cobb, Johns Creek, Marietta, Sandy Springs, Sugar Hill, West Paces and Woodstock. The practice employs 24 physicians and 20 physician assistants. These providers are supported by a team of 60+ highly trained medical assistants and nurses. Today, the practice handles over 156,000 patient encounters annually and services patients of all ages. We plan to expand to 13 locations in 2018.

    NAPC has been serving the community since 1988 and is Georgia's most awarded practice. NAPC has utilized electronic medical record since 1998 and was awarded the Nicholas Davies Award for Excellence in the Use of Electronic Medical Records.
